I have a korg m50-61, but i could sell that and use the money i would have spent on an M1 to buy a m3-61 (used), but i think all the presets (on the m50/m3) are kinda aimed at music genres like techno, rap, pop etc. I don't know much about it, but iConnectivity has a reputation for solid products. Hi, i am in urgent need of expertise, as i am considering buying a Korg m1, and they are rather rare where i live (Norway), but i cant decide wether to buy one or not. WX7, WX11,WindJammr, Akai EWI, EWI SOLO, EWI5000, EWI4000s, EVI, MIDI EVI. Replaced with a new battery and loaded in the M1 factory sounds. korg m1 sound cards Wind Controller 1 - A special soundbank of 100 Programs. When I first received my M1, the battery was dead.
I have all the necessary hardware (MIDI>USB cable) and software (MIDIOX). If you'd rather have a combination audio/MIDI interface like the Tascam, I can recommend the Focusrite Scarlett boxes (mine is a second gen 6i6). I have a Korg M1 that I need to backup to my PC. The one's I've used or heard are good from people I trust are the M-Audio Uno, the iConnectivity 'mio' (I have the mio2), and the Roland UM-One - all are right around $30 U.S. I looked up the interface you saw in the video, and it looks like you can't get it any more, at least not new. at this point, putting aside the problem of the battery.
therefore, the problem of channel mute and distorted sounds was already existing before replacing the battery.
Getting Win98 drivers to work with Windows 10 can be a real bear, so a newer standards-compliant USB/MIDI interface would be better. my korg m1 had begun to have problems with the sounds of all the patches and thinking it was a problem of battery, I simply replaced and loaded the factory sounds with midi-ox.
It says MIDI in will go to MIDI out, and mentions MIDI time sync with your computer, but says nothing else. I read the manual, and it's pretty sparse where it comes to MIDI info. Look in the Sample Content folder in your Sonar directory.
Did you get the drivers for the Tascam from their site? Older USB/MIDI interfaces weren't compliant with the standards and needed divers.
